Solution

To install Patch 1, perform these steps:

  1. Back up the VSPC configuration database.
  2. Log off from all active VSPC UI sessions.
  3. Execute VSPC.ApplicationServer.x64_5.0.0.6883.msp file on the VSPC server as administrator.
  4. Execute VSPC.WebUI.x64_5.0.0.6883.msp file as administrator on the VSPC UI (IIS) server.
  5. Execute VSPC.ConnectorService.x64_5.0.0.6883.msp as administrator on the VSPC server.

To upgrade Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows from RTM to GA version, perform these steps:

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Please be informed that installing update for Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows may lead to silent restart of the operating system on the corresponded workstation.

  1. Select the veeam_agent_5.0.0.4301_privatefixupdate0.exe file to upload it to remote computers.
  2. Log in to the VSPC portal and stop all Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows running jobs, including transaction log backup jobs.
  3. Navigate to Discovery -> Discovered Backup Agents and select all agents running the RTM version and open the Backup Agent menu in the actions toolbar to select the Patch operation.
NOTE
After the upgrade backup agent version will become 5.0.0.4301 in the VSPC UI, however, in the Add & Remove Programs snap-in, the version of the backup agent will not change and will remain 5.0.0.4300.
