Challenge

Attempting to update Veeam Intelligent Diagnostics signatures fails, and a pop-up appears with the message:

Failed to import signatures
Update Error

Cause

This issue occurs due to recent certificate changes that affected the Veeam Intelligent Diagnostics signature update process.

Solution

Option 1: Upgrade to Latest Version of Veeam ONE

As this issue is related to expired certificates, updating to the latest version of Veeam ONE will resolve the issue.

Option 2: Install Hotfix for Older Veeam ONE Builds

If upgrading to the latest version of Veeam ONE is not viable, follow the instructions below for the build that is presently deployed.

You can check the build number in the Veeam ONE Client's Main Menu () under Help > About.

Note: Removal and deployment of the Veeam ONE Agents can be performed directly from the Veeam ONE Client.

  1. Remove the Veeam ONE Agent from all Veeam Backup & Replication servers monitored by Veeam ONE.
  2. Stop the following services:
    • Veeam ONE Monitoring Service (VeeamDCS)
    • Veeam ONE Agent (VeeamOneAgentSvc)
  3. Extract the contents of the hotfix (download below).
  4. Copy the files in the hotfix to specific locations:
    • VeeamONE.Agent.x64.msi  C:\Program Files\Veeam\Veeam ONE\Veeam ONE Monitor Server\AgentPackage\
    • Veeam.One.Agent.Deployment.Common.dll  C:\Program Files\Veeam\Veeam ONE\Veeam ONE Agent\
  5. Start the Veeam ONE Agent (VeeamOneAgentSvc) service.
  6. Start the Veeam ONE Monitoring Service (VeeamDCS) service.
  7. Redeploy the Veeam ONE Agents on all associated Veeam Backup & Replication servers.

    3. 3.VeeamOneMonitorCln_x64_12.2.0.4914.msp
    4. 4.VeeamONE.Reporter.Server.x64_12.2.0.4914.msp
  5. Redeploy the Veeam ONE Agents on all associated Veeam Backup & Replication servers.
