This Veeam Ready test was performed with storage having a configuration that includes SSD/Flash.  As such, this classification only applies to similar configurations in which the same amount or more SSD drives are used.  The use of non-SSD drives may negatively impact performance.

General product family overview:

VAST Data Universal Storage uses a Disaggregated, Shared-Everything (DASE) storage architecture comprised of VAST protocol servers (CNODES) and highly-available NVMe disk enclosures (DNODES) connected via an NVMe Fabric. The unique combination of hyperscale flash and SCM (storage class memory) eliminates tiering and allows for ease of capacity scalability in a single global namespace. This greatly simplifies storage and provides all-flash performance at HDD-priced economics.
