General product family overview:
Hitachi Content Platform for Cloud Scale (HCP for Cloud Scale) is a software-defined object storage solution that is based on a massively parallel microservice architecture and is compatible with the Amazon S3 application programming interface (API). HCP for Cloud Scale is especially well suited to service applications requiring high bandwidth and compatibility with Amazon S3 APIs.
HCP for Cloud Scale v2.x and HCP v8.x are two different products. HCP v8.x is currently not compatible with Veeam.
Vendor Settings:
Object Lock and Immutability Required
If versioning is enabled on an S3 bucket Veeam Backup & Replication will only manage the versioning when Immutability is enabled within the Object Storage Repository and Object Lock is enabled for the bucket.
At this time, all buckets created within HCP Cloud Scale have versioning enabled. As such it is required that that any HCP Cloud Scale S3 buckets created for use with Veeam Backup and Replication must have Object Lock enabled at the time of creation and when added to Veeam Backup & Replication “Make recent backups immutable” must be enabled for the Object Storage Repository.
