More Information

Below is the list of features that will be deprecated in future versions:

  • Functionality related to Basic Authentication, which is being deprecated by Microsoft 365:
    • Basic authentication for M365 tenants
    • Auxiliary backup accounts
    • Modern authentication that allows for using legacy auth protocols
  • M365 Germany region
  • Azure Blob Storage Germany region
  • SMB-Based Repositories — This functionality was always experimental, and over time it has become clear that the jet-based backup storage system we use does not function efficiently with SMB-based repositories. Additionally, over the years, we have seen fewer and fewer customers each year utilizing SMB-based NAS storage.
  • Auxiliary backup applications (from unlimited to a limited number)
  • Support for on-premises Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint
