COLUMBUS, Ohio, February 4, 2009 — Veeam Software, award-winning provider of systems management tools for VMware ESX Server environments, has expanded its dedicated federal sales team based in the Washington, DC area. The team, consisting of Federal Channel Account Manager Dan Smith, Inside Federal Sales Representative Adam Wilkins, and Systems Engineer Jason Soled, is well qualified to help federal government agencies and systems integrators benefit from a secure and well-managed virtual server infrastructure. Current Veeam Federal customers include the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Transportation/FAA, the USDA, US Army and Air Force, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the US Senate.

Smith comes to Veeam from Wyle, where he was program manager for its Information Engineering Services group. Prior to Wyle, Smith joined Quest Software through its 2004 acquisition of Aelita Software, where he worked as a Sales Engineer and Federal Account Manager. With more than 14 years’ experience supporting federal agencies’ information technology needs, Smith is well positioned to build a strong channel and alliance network for the Veeam federal team.
Wilkins brings a unique blend of international business experience and expertise with federal, state, and local education customers to the Veeam federal team. Prior to joining Veeam Software, Wilkins spent four years with Aelita Software and Quest Software. Wilkins is ready to assist with sales inquiries, product demonstrations and business development activities in support of the federal team.
Soled, the newest member of Veeam\'s federal team, has more than a decade of experience as a systems engineer supporting Federal, state and local governments, and educational customers. Prior to joining Veeam, he was a sales engineer at Cernium Corporation.
