Columbus, Ohio: June 1, 2016
Veeam Software, the innovative provider of solutions that deliver Availability for the Always-On Enterprise, today announced that Jeff Goldstein has been named the company’s first vice president of sales, Canada. Goldstein will be responsible for executing Veeam’s sales strategy, focusing on accelerating its continued growth in the enterprise market and developing key partnerships. At the close of Q1 2016, Veeam’s Canadian operation posted nearly 30 percent year-over-year total bookings revenue growth over 2015, with orders for the Veeam Cloud & Service Provider Program up almost 150 percent for the same period.
“We’ve had great success in Canada, and as our first VP in the region, Jeff will spearhead plans to aggressively build upon this growth,” said Jim Tedesco, senior vice president of sales, North America at Veeam. “Jeff will focus on developing current and new partnerships – and leveraging investments – enabling Veeam to also capitalize on our rapidly developing enterprise presence. Furthermore, while we already have strong and established relationships, Jeff’s industry knowledge and reputation for understanding customers will undoubtedly expand our footprint.”
Most recently, Goldstein was vice president and general manager for NetApp Canada. In 2001, he helped open NetApp’s Canadian subsidiary and scale the business from 15 people and $17 million to more than $220 million in revenue and 125 people. He was involved in all aspects of the business including sales, pre- and post-sales engineering, business development, finance, operations and marketing. Goldstein was also actively involved in helping NetApp Canada place in the top 5 best places to work in Canada for the past 6 years. Prior to NetApp, Goldstein was general manager of Data General Canada, a division of EMC. While there, he helped increase both revenue and profit by focusing on core technologies and key geographies. With more than 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, he has also held positions at AVS Technologies Ltd. and Hewlett Packard.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Veeam at such an opportune time for availability solutions, not only in Canada but globally,” said Goldstein. “As enterprises continue to experience digital transformation, they demand more than traditional backup solutions for 24/7/365 availability and to protect mission-critical applications, as well as their associated data. I’m excited to deepen our current relationships with customers and partners, as well as develop new relationships as we expand and invest in the Canadian market.”
Goldstein joins Veeam as the company prepares to release Veeam Availability Suite version 9.5 later this year. The award-winning solution will include a new set of features that will even further increase Availability and improve operational performance in both Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam Backup Essentials.
Goldstein is a graduate of the University of Waterloo where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering. He also holds a professional engineering designation (P. Eng) and SECRET security clearance.
