CLEVELAND, Ohio, Oct. 16, 2007 Veeam Software has added a third commercial product to its management suite for VMware Infrastructure 3 (Vi3) environments. Veeam Monitor, introduced at VMworld last month, is now generally available. With agentless monitoring and alerting designed specifically for ESX enterprise environments, support for troubleshooting, trending and capacity planning, Veeam Monitor helps IT professionals proactively manage ESX Server system performance.
"Monitoring is an important capability to round out our VMware management suite," said Ratmir Timashev, Veeam president and CEO. "While VMware VirtualCenter offers some similar functionality, our interface enhances and extends VirtualCenter by combining several types of data into a single, intuitive GUI. This makes system performance data more accessible and saves time for administrators.
"Veeam Monitor also offers trend reporting and performance-related alerts," Timashev continued. "We are actively soliciting feedback from our customers on exactly what types of alerts they want to see added to future versions of the product." In addition, Veeam Monitor can provide agentless monitoring, alerting and reporting on ESX servers in small datacenters or development labs running without VirtualCenter.
Pricing and Availability Veeam Monitor 1.0 is available immediately, with North American pricing starting at $120 USD per CPU. Discounts are available when purchased with other Veeam products. For more information or to download the product, visit http://www.veeam.com/vmware-esx-monitoring.html.
