If you have the primary storage array, associated with a secondary storage array in Veeam Backup & Replication, it's possible to use the secondary storage array as a data source for backups.

Using backup from snapshots on secondary storage arrays, impact on the production storage is greatly reduced. During backup, VM data reading is performed on the side of the secondary storage array, not affecting the primary storage array.
