Challenge

The Resource Pool dashboard, Virtual Applications dashboard, Resource Pool State and Virtual Application State views fail with the following error when accessed in Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012:

An item with the same key has already been added

User-added image

Cause

This is a known Microsoft problem that affects console views showing state for a class that supports self-containment.

The issue is scheduled to be fixed in further updates of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012.

Solution

To resolve the issue, follow the next steps:

  1. Right-click the state view and select Personalize View from the shortcut menu.

  2. Clear the VMPOOL Resource Pool or VMVAPP Virtual Applications check box.

The view will still show the state of the root object, but not the state of contained child objects.

More Information

Veeam MP views will be re-designed in the next release. Upgrading to the next version (when it is available) will also resolve the issue.
