The new product bridges a gap in our customer needs by providing exceptional Veeam technology with support for Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV). We anticipate this will be a welcome addition to our portfolio, since over 30% of Nutanix customers have already deployed AHV.
Now AHV users can leverage the same intelligent data management solutions as Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere hypervisor users, providing Hyper-Availability of their data in today’s Always-On world.
From a business perspective, this means our joint customers can focus on the core competencies of their business, having confidence that Veeam and Nutanix are working tightly together to expand data protection and Availability and address compliance issues.
So how does it work? Through our partnership with Nutanix, our software developers created a special Veeam backup proxy that sits right in the Nutanix Acropolis Hyperconverged Infrastructure Cluster. Veeam Availability for Nutanix AHV provides users with the ability to:

- Minimize data loss with frequent, fast backups across the entire Nutanix infrastructure
- Maintain business productivity with flexible and agile full-VM and item-level recoveries
