I am super excited to share the newest innovation for VeeamON 2025, technical workshops! Having been involved in every VeeamON, I always look to evolve the experience, and this is a program that I piloted at the Veeam 100 Summit for the last two years. See this blog post from one of the Veeam 100 members for a workshop recap from 2023 and 2024! Piloting the workshop concept at the Veeam 100 Summit was great since we learned a lot about the technical setup, instructor, and assistant requirements as well as on-demand lab resources. Now it’s time to take this to VeeamON!
What is a VeeamON Workshop?
Let’s first explain what a VeeamON technical workshop is to set your expectations. These additional VeeamON 2025 experiences will take place on the Monday before the event and last 2.5 hours. These 2.5 hours are where you’ll bring your laptop and be guided through a learning experience. We’ll have a break in the middle, as well as several aides to help with the progress of these sessions. The biggest problem you’ll face is choosing just one of these great offerings! You’ll need to be hands-on for this experience. The three sessions will be a mix of instructional and overview content, and then there’ll be some hands-on time to work through a scenario with a Veeam product. How cool is that?
Why Attend a VeeamON Workshop?
In our pilot project at the Veeam 100 Summit, we found that the survey results for this type of experience were overwhelmingly positive. This is a great way to learn something new about Veeam’s products while refining what you may already know with the help of an in-depth session. These workshops are 2.5 hours long and are a great way to dive deeper into something without being rushed. I know the Veeam audience, and this is what they want!
What Are the VeeamON Workshop Options?
You now have three more reasons to attend VeeamON 2025 in San Diego! But unfortunately, you have to pick just one. We have three workshops that will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025. Here’s an overview:
Session 1: Hands-on AI Learning and Showcase with Veeam Intelligence
This pre-event workshop offers a deep dive into how Veeam Intelligence is implemented in Veeam Data Platform with a first-hand look of the agent swarm and LLM configurations for this new capability. Bring your laptop (Windows or Mac) to this live lab experience and learn how to work with the Veeam Intelligence engine to extract deep insights from your Veeam deployment. But that’s not all! We’ll also explore some conceptual ideas of using AI tools with the Veeam Data Integration API.
Session 2: Configuring End-to-end Resilience with Veeam Data Platform
This pre-event hands-on workshop will show you how to set up Veeam Data Platform’s cyber resilience capabilities. This includes the configuration of immutable backups, threat detection capabilities, and an overview of the interoperability and integration across the ecosystem of SIEM, SOAR, KMS tools, and more. Don’t forget to bring your laptop (Windows or Mac) for an interactive experience!
Session 3: Getting Started with Veeam Data Cloud Vault
This workshop will show you how to get started with Veeam Data Cloud Vault. We’ll breakdown the different ways to use Veeam Data Cloud Vault, from how to set up a repository to best practices of provisioning a Scale-out Backup Repository. Make sure to bring your laptop (Windows or Mac) to participate in the hands-on activities!
